Velotric’s Discover 1 felt not enough in relation to his motor specifications on paper. His 500 W rear centers made it quite fine, maintaining high speeds on flat ground, but it seemed to fight a little steep climb. This is a place where Shimano 7-speed propulsion is really welcome-I always had the equipment I was able to spin, which means I never had to hide hard on the slippers to move the bike.

The price of discovering 1 I definitely considered very fair for what you receive. However, I would not mind adding some higher end components, even if it makes a little more cost. Take a suspension fork for example, it seems a little lower than the rest of the bike, I think a higher jaw fork would add great value and performance to this bike, even if it costs a little more.

If you are looking for a bicycle that can be a occasional crusade or your transportation form to IS, then Velotric Discover 1 is not a bad choice at all, because you really get what you pay.
