Inside Upway: Leading Upway’s New York Operations Team
As they say, the rules are meant to be broken. Expectations, however, are something they still strive for. As the operations lead, I set up certain expectations that are designed to support our work and keep the team motivated and organized. Some things are non -negotiable: show up on time, be respectful, pay attention to the details, keep things clean and organized, and work safely. That is the basic and additional growth expectations are there.
We run a physical flow business, which means that if people are not focused, we will fall back fast. It can easily get caught at the speed and constant movement of the job, but the biggest thing, however, is mindset. We say that every bike in the warehouse is counted. It’s like a team sport. We fight for each point- score plus points, and we have.
In upway, we deeply care for each other and understand the importance of teamwork. Combined with motivation to resolve and always continue to improve, we are constantly striving for more together.
