Lectric XP 4 (750 W) Review

XP 4 sets a new high ribbon for driving quality in all 750W versions adds even more upgrade of comfort and security.
Let’s start with the core of XP 4 characteristics.

The bike contains a wide range of rider types, with the high -step and steps frames comfortably correspond to those between 4’10 and 6’4 ”. The capacity of a useful load of 330 pounds and a strong engine are useful for riders of all sizes.

The 660 mm administration is reasonably connected to 20 × 3 tires, providing neutral handling that achieves a nice balance – not too much jerk, not too slow. The tires have mostly smooth central tread with some side grip, giving peaceful performance on the roadway with added stability.

One improvement of the XP 4 geometry is the stem: now it is aligned with the head angle, instead of throwing forward 15 degrees as before. This slightly shortens the reach, allowing a more comfortable bandage on the elbows and relaxed, upright riding position.

A 50mm jaw is a modest and more on the side of the input level, but it still removes the edge from the care and imperfections on the road, and the black stands are beautiful for the appearance (I just am not a chromium fan).

Aesthetic, XP 4 made a big step forward. The new frame design is clean and stylish, and adding color options, such as rainy droplet blue and pine green colors, is welcome change from standard black and white.

Plastic muds have replaced metal from previous generations. They still look sharp, but less rattles when they bounce off the rocks or debris. Other beautiful training includes a moved key and the fact that you no longer need a key inserted to drive – slightly older XP owners will definitely appreciate (this has been a painful place for years).

Integrated lighting is another highlight: all headlights, rear lights and the shift signals become standard. The new color display shows speed, watt, amplifiers and more and many more introduces some excellent upgrades of quality of life.

One of the most striking is the new battery read. Now uses reading -based reading (in 10% of steps). Although it may seem that it moves a little quickly 10% at the same time, it is far more predictable and more consistent than the older system based in the strap, which often remained full for too long before it fell wrong.

The settings menu is now far more intuitive. Drivers can easily adapt the way of class, throttle behavior, screen brightness and more – without the need for a owner’s manual for decoding random letters and numbers.

Point points on XP 4 feel surprisingly premium. Small but meaningful upgrades like a weighted gas butterfly, a solid brake handle, soft rubber grips and deviations from old folding slippers increase the feeling. These are not radiant upgrades, but they make XP 4 feel fantastic and less “budget”.

Speaking of slippers, they are now quickly released with a firm squeeze and help in the folded dimensions of the bicycle. With a little practice, you can go from a completely driving to a fully folded in a minute. The folding latch is certainly engaged without much effort, and once it is locked, the frame feels firmly.

Wearing a folded bicycle is feasible, with natural points of lifting on a frame rating handle and rear rack. This was said, for almost £ 70, not light – to rely the battery or ask a friend for help is a good move when lifting more into a truck or the back of the van.

One thing to be aware of: when folded, the frame makes contact with yourself, which could chip the color. DIY repair like a hot adhesive and silicone bumper is now functioning well, but this is something Lectic could improve in the future.

With the limit of the weight of the rear rack of 150 pounds, the XP 4 can handle the Yepi Children’s seat, a passenger pillow passenger with a pillow and legs or a set of Panniers for gears.

And as part of the XP 4 750W upgrade, you also get a session of the suspension and larger headlights. The seat adds a little more pillows of driving, and lighter light increases both safety and overall aesthetics. In combination with upgraded engine and battery, these accessories really help value.
