Lectric XPEAK 2.0 Review | King of the value of fat tires?
The “driving quality” can be a little unclear, but mostly it comes down to how the bike looks and feels. Let’s start with the feeling.
Xpeak 2.0 drives with a lot of confidence. The 600mm steering wheel sounded a little narrow on paper, but paired with wide tires, giving the bicycle a very solid feeling. It is not a jerk, nor does it feel too wide. With this placement, you can cruise, travel or tear yourself down, all with relative ease and retaining good control over the ride.
The tires are great for the balance they provide on the paved roads, although they come with a noise punishment – you will definitely hear them on the roadway. But they are paid a great time when you go through dirt or gravel. They float easily over a loose terrain and can be thrown over roots and roots on milder paths.
The first renegade fork also seems nice. This softens the ride wherever you have been taken away and helped Xpeak 2.0 earn ISO 4210-10 grade-old EMTB endurance. Although no, this is not a full mountain bike, this endurance assessment provides some real peace that the frame, fork and components can handle rough roads, double paths and firefighters.
2.0 also received a lot of upgrading of the quality of life over their predecessor and everyone paid off. We have already covered PWR+ programming and upgraded brakes, but there is also a firmer frame, an upgraded 8-speed powertrain and a new color screen.
The upgrades of the frame and the drive circuit were noticeable. Describing the firmness of the frame can be ticklish, but mostly it comes down to how much you feel confident when you turn, drive over rough stains and handling the bulges. I would say that Xpeak 1.0 felt “mostly confident”, while Xpeak 2.0 felt “very confident” on various terrains and in a step.
The upgrade of a seven -to -eight -gear drive floor is great, but moving on to fast fiery blows was an improvement of night and day. I am not a fan of striker over a bicycle strip intended to solve a rough terrain, so this change was a huge step forward in my eyes.
Even smaller details around the edges stood out. I like the lateral gas thumb, which helps to prevent accidental engagement, and slippers with quick release with games that plant their feet tightly where they should be.
Lectric also offers plenty of common additives such as mud, racks and lights, but you can swing for additional accessories such as fishing packages or winter equipment if you want to drive throughout the year.
If XPEAK 2.0 has a disadvantage, it is known for bicycles that keep low costs: the size is limited to one high -step model and one step. It is still a little limiting because options are black and white colors related to the type of frame you choose.
However, I will give a lectic loan for their progress in the styling. Frame angles, branding and overall look are sharper and clearer than on previous bicycles. This is a kind of improvement that I hope to see the brand matures, and Lectic is clearly growing in this regard. Although they are still making affordable bikes, their designs begin to look much less like a budget ride.
